CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PACKET
Since its founding in 1998, The Langley High School Alumni Association (LHSAA) has awarded scholarships to applicants who have wished to continue their post-secondary education. These scholarships are funded by alumni contributions, income from various social events held throughout the year, yearly alumni membership dues and private donations. There is one (1) $1,000.00 scholarship awarded to an eligible applicant.
Who can apply for the Continuing Education Scholarship?
Any member of the LHSAA who is currently enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution of high learning can apply. Qualified members must be a Langley graduate, child or grandchild of a Langley graduate and MUST be an active paid member of the LHSAA with current paid membership paid by FEBRUARY 1st of the year planning to attend the schooling semester.
What post-secondary education programs are considered?
Any 4 year college, 2 year college, trade school, culinary academy or performing art academy is considered post-secondary.
What criteria are considered?
A Grade Point Average (GPA a.k.a. QPA) of “2.75” or better, community activities, awards, personal recommendations are considered criteria.
When is the application deadline?
All completed applications must be received by July 1st prior to the start of the semester and mailed to:

Any request for a time extension will NOT be permitted
*Continuing-Refers to individual continuing their education after the first year of post-secondary schooling.
